PokerStars To Feature World Championship Online Poker Tournament

PokerStars has announced that they will put in $500,000 for the World Championship of Online Poker through the series of tournaments that will be put on, three times each day from August 21 through August 29.

PokerStars is calling is “The Extreme Satellites” for the second consecutive year following their debut for this tournament back in 2009 last year.  The prizes and cash winning for these satellite tournaments will be various in nature, as they provide seats and help to compete in the World Championship of Online Poker.

The Main Event in this satellite series, is a $260 buy-in, which is entitled the $5,200 WCOOP Main Event. This event will create 25 seats for the tournament, adding $130,000 in cash.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on September 5, with a total of 62events to be played throughout the course of the series.  There is a $50 million prize pool.

This is one of the most popular online poker tournament around today, with players not wanting to miss out on the potential opportunities that lay in front of them.
